The Volunteer Process

Event Posting

When a date has been chosen to hold a project, an Event will be posted on our Facebook Page stating what the project will be undertaken, the date, start and finish times (approx.) and where to meet.

Anyone interested in volunteering can select either “Interested” or “Going” on this Event post, by doing this we can gauge attendance numbers so we can cater for mid-morning refreshments plus number of tools / paint needed for each tailored task.

Noticeboard Announcement

Where appropriate, Event posters will be displayed adjacent to the event, providing non Facebook users to engage in a local event. Events are also put up on our Holmepride – CiA noticeboard on the side of The Gift Horse on Huddersfield Road and Crown Bottom noticeboards.

Volunteer Attendance

All new volunteers will need to sign a form providing basic information: name, address, email, mobile phone number and to indicate whether they want to join our Holmepride – CiA Whatsapp group.

Once the form has been completed, the volunteer will be covered under an Umbrella Insurance Policy managed through Natural Kirklees who have around 100 groups under this policy.

You can download the form, prefill and bring it along to the event.

If you need any more information you can send a message via our form, or our Facebook Page or email us direct: hello@holmepride.co.uk
